After a series of smaller WPT Five Diamond high roller events, the players were ready to play a $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller tournament at Bellagio in Las Vegas.

The event attracted 39 entries to the Bellagio Poker Room, which created a total prize pool of $3,9 million. Once the tournament was down to the final five players (Bryn Kenney finished 6th for $234,000), it was paused and the final table resumed on Friday with Isaac Haxton leading the star-studded final.

In addition to Haxton, the final table featured Daniel Negreanu, Dan Smith, Stefan Schillhabel and Sergio Aido. Luckily for the railbirds, Negreanu live reported the entire final table via his official Twitter-account.

Negreanu ended up making it to all the way to the heads-up play, but couldn’t beat Dan Smith, who earned $1,4 million for his win to take his total live tournament earnings to over $19 million:
