UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Jamie O’Connor Climbs into Top 10

Neither the United Kingdom or Ireland online poker rankings, provided by PocketFives.com, had much change in their top 20 ranked players despite those occupying the top spots enjoying a strong week at the virtual felt.

Current number one in the UK is the super-talented Belgian known as “girafganger7” who helped themselves to the $15,163 runner-up prize of the partypoker High Roller Bounty Hunter: $100K Gtd to keep a Patrick “pleno1” Leonard at bay, for now.

Leonard also enjoyed a significant prize for a runner-up finish last week after he finished second in the PokerStars $1,050 Super Tuesday for a $24,525 score on the same day as his fifth-place finish in the $1,050 Daily Warm-Up, also at PokerStars, for an additional $8,239.

Jonathan “produflop” Proudfoot is still in third-place in the UK despite some impressive results during the past seven days. Produfoot banked more than $5,000 after finishing fifth in the PokerStars $1,050 Daily Cooldown, $6,476 for his fourth-place finish in the partypoker High Roller Bounty Hunter: $100K Gtd and $6,239 for his third-place finish in the PokerStars $530 Daily 500.

Former UK number one, Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford resides in fourth-place in the UK standings at present, although he closed the gap on the top three with a $12,172 score in the partypoker $1M Gtd KO Series event last weekend. Beresford also boosted his bankroll by $21,507 by wnning the PokerStars $1,050 Wednesday High Roller.

The player known as “thebgdog09”, Patrick Brooks, banked several four-figure scores with the largest weighing in at $4,698, Brooks’ reward for an 11th place finish in the partypoker KO Series $500K Gtd 8-Max event.

One player who did climb the rankings this week was Jamie “EzGame89” O’Connor. The Leeds United fan triumphed in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for a score worth more than $20,000, which took him up to 10th in the UK’s standings.

A brace of UK-based Spaniard bolstered their lifetime winnings tally with a five-figure score. David “davaman” Lopez returned to the online poker scene with a victory in the PokerStars $1,050 Daily Cooldown for more than $15,000 with Javier “que_te_crio” Fernandez walking way with the $10,279 bronze medal prize in the partypoker High Roller Bounty Hunter Fast.

Irish Online Poker Rankings Top 20 (Feb. 27, 2019)

It is still Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer who is the man to catch in Ireland and if he keeps banking $11,000 scores, like he did for his fifth-place finish in the partypoker Sunday High Roller Grind, he is going to take some catching.

O’Dywer’s nearest rival in the Irish rankings is Ronan “Sw33ney” Sweeney and he kept tabs with the leader by finishing as the runner-up in the partypoker Sunday Main Event: $100K Gtd for $13,420, a result that pushed Sweeney’s online tournament winning past $780,000.

High volume grinder Tomasz “luckymo32” Geleziunas helped himself to a $3,394 score at PokerStars’ French site thanks to finishing second in the €25,000 Gtd Super Thursday BigStack Turbo, while Sean “monkeybudgie” Prendiville netted $9,776 for his sixth-place finish in the PokerStars Turbo Series $530 NLHE event.

Former Irish number one Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen went deep in the Pokerstars Turbo Series Main Event, busting in 80th place for $4,028 with “Rowiwn” being the runner-up in the PokerStars Hot $82 for a $2,204 prize.
