Michael Chi “mczhang” Zhang has returned to the United Kingdom online poker rankings top 20 following a brace of impressive results at PokerStars and partypoker.

Zhang recently smashed through the $1 million in online poker tournament winnings barrier and is well on his way to surpassing $1.1 million. A ninth-place finish in the PokerStars SCOOP-02-H: $1,050 NLHE 8-Max netted Zhang $11,192 while his 14th place in the partypoker POWERFEST #14-SHR: $1M Gtd 6-Max Championship Event added $12,535 to his bankroll.

The talented grinder, who won the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €50,000 Super High Roller earlier this year, also won SCOOP-22-H: $2,100 NLHE 6-max Shootout for $68,640, but it came too late to be added to his PocketFives.com points tally.

UK-based German Manig “swordfish007” Loeser is the new name in the UK top 20, entering in 20th place and a career-high of 155th in the world. Loeser has more than $1.3 million in online tournament cashes, an impressive figure helped by him banking $19,05 for finishing 11th in the partypoker POWERFEST #14-SHR: $1M Gtd 6-Max Championship Event and the $16,342 Loeser won for winning POWERFEST #29-H: $50K Gtd 6-Max PKO Fast.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford is still the number one ranked player in the UK and he initially opened up a more substantial lead from Patrick “pleno1” Leonard in second-place with a $27,590 score, Beresford’s reward for a third-place finish in SCOOP-12-H: $530 NLHE 6-Max PKO. Leonard, however, responded with a massive $106,484 score by finishing second in SCOOP-16-H: $5,200 NLHE 6-Max Turbo.

“Rolandbauer” collected $36,429 for finishing third in the $530 medium version of the tournament Leonard was the runner-up in. This was a similar score to what Jonathan “proudflop” Proudfoot secured for finishing second in SCOOP-12-H: $530 NLHE 6-Max PKO Win the Button, while Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell won the PokerStars Bigger $109 for $31,048.
